Under My Thumb
another Bill/Wade joint. Pretty much like the record I think. I sent Wade the bass and vocals and he did the rest & did a great job I think. this is one of my fave al-time Stone's songs-I'm going to have to mortgage my house just to pay for submitting to this listing.http://www.billgaunce.com/song/111

Re: Under My Thumb
You still have a house to mortgage? You're doing better than most of us!You're right Bill, this an an awesome song. Your vocals sound great, and so do the guitars, although I thought they could have been brought forward in the mix a bit. If you're going after the original sound though, maybe you nailed it. I'd have to hear it again to know.I felt like the synthetic clapping sound could maybe be beefed a bit by mixing some real claps in with it.It sounds like you two work very well together.Cam

Re: Under My Thumb
Wade really nailed the guitar (tone and performance) on this. Your drums/bass are really good too man.I try and try to find things wrong here but.........Ok, the only thing that stuck out to me was the very first "under my thumb" in the beginning of the song. It seems a bit abrupt. Not as smooth as the next I guess.Dang it! I have to go to my backup stones tune now. This is was one I was Seriuosly considering. IM glad you posted this. Shows how inferior mine would've been.Another good one Bill. This one is very authentic.Tell Wade im very impressed with his work also.Matt

Wow man.. another great recording/mix. The bass sounds especially fat and those vibes in there add a really cool touch. The mix has a great spread to it and your vocal sounds great!

Super job, Bill. I think this is my favorite of your covers that I've heard. You guys are getting amazingly good at this, all aspects--production, engineering, playing, vocals, mixing. Hope you're making $ from this, cuz you should be! If I see any opps for covers like this I'll let you know.Vince

Re: Under My Thumb
Matt,The publisher is responsible for securing the mechanical license to be able to use these covers. The Harry Fox Agency handles that for the great majority of songs.Vince
