Thank U Geoffrey... that's awesome to know man =)Thank U Bill... I haven't recorded a guitar solo for ages & it's always a pleasure to play lead...My initial plan was to just run modern synth sounds thru that portion but after writing to Taxi and they told me that having some elements of the original song would be good... I had a sudden idea to add that recognizable Brian May's riff into this solo... am so happy it worked out yea! ^_^It also felt so good to go back to an old school approach... with the lead... Good old Rock days!Thank U all for Listening!-Kel

Hey guy,I like your treatment and hope this fits what they're looking for.I do notice a hiss on the right during the start with the bass intro, and quite a hiss at the end as well.Wondering what you used to achieve that distortion/filter sound that comes in at 0:14...cool!I would have liked the solo in the center, but that may not matter except to me. Great sound!

Thanks RLD for the listen & comments... & also for pointing out the hiss. I'm still tryna figure out the cause *scratches head* =)-Kel

Yup... fixed up the timing of the vocals, widened the sound of the filter synth fx and found out the cause of the hissing noise in the beginning & end of song.It was due my carelessness, I left the guitar input on 3 channels on while bouncing out... it was major hissingtopia. If nobody spots anymore major issues in the mix I'l be submitting this one in 6 hours time...Once again. Thank U all!-Kel

Kel, sounds tight. If it were me I would have had the most famous We Will Rock You background backing you up. Sounds like you use Reason 4 Propellerhead and I know its hard to get 400 people to sing for you but the effect can be done. Do a track of yourself singing. Duplicate the track and pitch shift and keep doing this till you have like 7 or 8 tracks. A little compression, reverb and panning and youve got it. If you had more time, I wouldve done the track for you. Maybe next time. Good job bud.

Thanks Jademusic... when I was editing the track the "many ppl singing" idea did come to mind but I kinda had to choose between that effect & having just my voice (left side) with a harmony voice (right side)... hmmm, I chose the later cos I was quite pleased with the resulting sound... but appreciate the suggestion =) It was a big part of the original track, no doubt about that.-Kel
