Updated QUEEN Full-length & guitar solo

Post by k o star » Wed Apr 01, 2009 12:45 am

Present:I just completed this track "Rock U" by Queen... and freshly recorded a guitar solo which borrows a riff from Brian May's solo in the same track... a solo inspired by a solo =)The submission due date is 20th so only 3 more days... any feedback would be really really cool...http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... eam=trueor the 2nd track on:www.taxi.com/kostarPeace,KelPast:Am wondering about this listing...When they request for Classic Rock covers, does it mean we should be striving to sound like the original song/artist or could we modernize the sound/style for this listing?I'm wondering cos I did an Alternative/Industrial sounding demo of Queen's "We will Rock U" & am not too sure if I'm wasting my time polishing it up to send in this one...Anyone's thoughts about this would be deeply appreciated..http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... eam=trueor the 2nd track on:www.taxi.com/kostarPeace,-KelCOVERS OF CLASSIC ROCK SONGS - VOCALS AND INSTRUMENTALS are needed by the Music Supervisor of a major cable TV series. They're looking for covers of songs that pay homage to classic artists such as The Beatles, the Kinks, Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, the Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, the Who, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Crosby Stills & Nash, Cream, etc. This series has utilized a few TAXI cover arrangements of popular songs from artists such as the ones referenced above before and they are looking for more now. Male or female vocals are OK and all tempos are finel. Excellent performances are absolutely essential. Broadcast quality needed - Great sounding home recordings are OK. Please submit one to three songs and/or instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received by Monday, April 20, 2009. One word, Kel: Wow! Freddie should be happy!. I still have a Ted's moment when I listen to him.
