Vienna Ensemble and Pro Tools
Has anyone tried multiple instances of Vienna Ensemble in Pro Tools? On my system, if the instances are active when I open the project, then Vienna seems to hang. If I launch the project with the instances inactive from the previous close, then activate them once the project is open, I can do it. I didn't check with VSL, don't know if anyone else has experienced this.

Hi, maybe this won’t help you but I’ve been told that pro tools is a little limited talking about plug-ins. But that’s something I don’t know for sure, I’ve never used pro tools. I use Cubase.

Nick might know...in the meantime you could go check the VSL forum, if others have observed this issue it would most likely be posted there.

Thanks folks, I'll check out the VSL forum. I just found it strange since I can have multiple instances of all my other instruments. Until I find out what's going on, I just make those instruments inactive before I close the project. Saves time on open anyways.

I haven't tried to run VE in PT, but it's supposed to work now. VE runs outside PT and streams in, so the problems may be due to lack of RAM or CPU.
