UPLIFTING ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Music Licensing Company with a large list of placements in Films, TV Commercials, and A-List TV Shows.

NOTE: This Company has signed lots of TAXI members over many years and nailed down lots of placements for them!

This Company is looking for Instrumentals that could be found on a playlist with the following references:

"Dreams and Visions" by Adi Goldstein (0:00 to 0:45)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ct2JCTJftq4

"Départ" by Silver Maple
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WE4nELpBBO8

"Between Us and the Dying Starlight" by Rhian Sheehan
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z8TPt5Ad-0

"The Hero's Journey" by Adi Goldstein (8:40 to 9:21)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ct2JCTJftq4&t=520s

Please send well-composed Orchestral Instrumentals with an emotionally uplifting sound and feel. Your pieces can include some synthetic or sound design elements, but Orchestral instrumentation should be the main focus. Captivating melodies and rhythms, and excellent musicianship are "must-haves" for this pitch. If you plan on using any virtual instruments, they need to sound like the real thing as nothing that sounds stiff or obviously MIDI-driven will work, here. If your Instrumentals could bring some happy tears to the listeners' eyes, send them in!

TAXI Tip: We suggest trying to keep your submissions on the simpler side, melodically. Your job is more about establishing an uplifting mood rather than winning "Composer of the Year"!

Submissions should be about 2 minutes long, give or take, and have non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with other Libraries or Catalogs. Please send as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI screener. All Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Thursday, July 8th, 2021. TAXI # S210708UP

Very important to get those strings sounding much less mecanical. Also, the edit at around 1:03 is too abrupt and not clean enough. Good luck.

Hi John,

I think this arrangement will work, but the strings sound very synthetic and stop quite abruptly, unnaturally. I don't know what string library you are using, but you may want to relax on the vibrato, if possible. You would probably benefit from building the intensity or volume at the beginning of each note and then dropping it off toward the end. If you don't have a high-quality sample collection to choose from, maybe you could double the track with a different sample library and blend them to something more realistic. But definitely use some automation to vary the dynamics throughout. Also, the percussion doesn't seem to match the style of the piece and sounds like it's coming from a different room altogether.

Good luck. You've got this!
