No Listing - Country Rock feedback please

Hi,
There is no listing for this one, just something I've been working on
I'm trying to get a Dierks Bentley 5-1-5-0 sound but I'm about a country mile off

I would start by turning the reverb off and tightening up the groove, seems way too loose
Is the bass player in the next County?!?

I think the spirit and composition is in the right place, but the production is where the issue is. This thing is swimming in so much reverb it might as well be a shark searching for food in Reverb Sea (my analogies need work, lol). Most modern country sounds pretty tight and in-your-face to me, though I haven't studied the genre too closely as I don't work in it. Just try to emulate the reverb situation of what you hear on the radio. I think you'll find that there's hardly a drop of reverb to be found anywhere. Maybe a short room or plate or something, but definitely nothing like what you've got here.
It also sounds pretty boomy. Maybe roll off a bunch of low end from those tom hits and get them sounding tighter and not like they're being hit from the back of an empty stadium.

You and Cass seem to be on the same page with advice here, I so appreciate it
I started out trying to get the drums sounding big and live and went a little overboard
I'll break out the hair dryer and work on these points

Mix is MUCH better in this version, Dave. I caught a few moments of rhythm issues - a drum fill around :26, and the rhythm guitar in that section at :50.
