Hi all!
Just joined up on Taxi little over a month ago. So yes, this is one thing I have been wondering about. What are the benefits of keeping your tracks public, downloadable or featured on your artist page? So I have a lot of brand new un-signed music that I want to keep under wraps so to speak. But wondering if I hide my music, hence make it private, am I losing out on anything when I do so. How often do music supervisors go browsing Taxi artists to "discover new talent"? Does that happen? Thanks for clarifying this.
Cheers!
C

Re: What are the benefits of keeping your tracks public, downloadable or featured on your artist page?
Hey there, C, and welcome!
I can only answer for myself, YMMV. I did for a while make my tracks downloadable, but stopped. The only reason I can think is that it's an option for any collaboration. Otherwise, useless. I do make my tracks public, so that they show up in the forwards blog - because I really do appreciate it when other composers allow me to see in the forward blog what kind of material passes the screener's bar. That's only possible when the tracks are marked public. Also, I believe that general 'sharing' of Taxi member's tracks is one of the things that makes the forum go 'round.

Re: What are the benefits of keeping your tracks public, downloadable or featured on your artist page?
Keeping your tracks public, downloadable, or featured on your artist page offers several benefits. It increases your visibility, making it easier for new listeners to discover your music. Downloadable tracks can boost engagement and fan loyalty by allowing fans to share and enjoy your work offline. Additionally, featuring your tracks prominently can enhance your credibility and attract more opportunities for collaborations and promotions.
