Quote:Yeah, I've got the Logic upgrade. I just haven't installed it yet due to the other folks I work with not having upgraded yet. We do a lot of work together over the Net and I don't want to make my Logic files unusable for them. But good to know about the new bass samples. Thanks! You can continue using 7 if you want, but install 8 and just point your EXS24 to the new samples. You'll just have to keep the dongle installed to keep using 7. Glad to be rid of that thing.

"Of course in ProTools you just pan L-R to center, but Logic's panning oddness requires the above steps"I don't quite follow. Why do you have to do all that just to collapse something to mono?Logic's mixer strips have a standard pan control, or you just insert a Direction Mixer plug-in and adjust the width (and tilt if you need to) that way. Yeah it would be nice if it were just in the channel strip, but it's not a big deal setting up an Autoload with Direction Mixer plug-ins inserted. I use them with orchestral instruments all the time.

I've used Trilogy for years on anything I can't afford a real guy for. For electric bass emulation, I can't think of choosing another bass sample or anything over it for a LONG time.
