What does "left of center" mean?

What does "left of center" mean?

A screener wrote that my song was a little "left of center". What did he/she mean by this?

It probably means its unique. Which could also mean not commercial. I believe "center" implies commercial. Post it up with the listing and we'll tell you what we think.

Yes, offbeat, not generally commercial material. Sometimes there are calls for experimental, unusal tracks in film/TV. If you post the song (link + lyrics) and the full review in peer-to-peer, we can talk about it more.
