What kind of money do library usages bring in?

Have only been a Taxi member for a couple of months. Was fortunate enough to land a 2-song library deal shortly after which turned out to be more of a work-for-hire deal where the company fronted me $1200 per song with performance royalties to hopefully come later. I think I'm beginning to see that this was a rare opportunity. But I'm wondering just how rare. So, from the rest of you with more experience that I . . . typically when a song/clip/whatever gets placed in a library, what would you say the percentage chance is of it making any money, and what kind of money might we be talking about? For a TV usage for instance, as compared with something less notable. And when these places talk license fees, is there a ballpark figure you can expect them to be talking about?Anyway . . . if you have any experience that actually turned into a check (or checks), please help me out here before I waste a bunch of energy on this stuff. I mean . . . I'd really love to get into some Film/TV scoring stuff somehow, but I'm not sure if these listings are going to get me anywhere. And I'm way past the point in my career where it would just be a thrill to get something placed.
