What night should i stay at the hotel

My first Road Rally, and i'm really excited. I'll only be able to stay 1 night at the hotel, and will drive as early/late as practical between Friday and Sunday....

So please advise.....what night should i stay at the hotel to make the best of playing late, and being up early? Friday night or Saturday night.

I don't think it much matters which night; both are good, and who you meet is mostly luck of the draw, in any case. The thing I would NOT recommend is changing hotels during the Rally; I did it once, for financial reasons and it just ended up being a huge distraction. I'd recommend splitting the cost with a roommate and staying both nights for the same $, cuz you'll only use the room for sleeping/showering, and there won't be much of the former; as to the latter, I guess that could also depend on who you meet.
