So here we go, 6 adults had been staying with us....!!
We actually DID go to a German MacDonalds  and they said that it's more family-like here. Not just "get your food and then out as fast as you can, please". So that was interesting.
Then "the men" went to the Porsche museum that is 45 minutes from here. They sure liked it:

Rigt now, I'm in English-mode, so I even think in my head in English. Scary....

Oh dear Walter,

It is so nice of you to come back to the Post, and to tell us how it went. Nice Porsche Museum, impressive !

Tell us more ! Cannot wait, please.

Yes, in America, MacDonalds Restaurants must be pretty busy indeed.
But also, I remember, around Chicago, in 1992, my Friend and I stopped often at a large Restaurant, yes spacious and with Air Conditioning, where we would pay a fixed price and then stay as long as one would wish and come back for as many servings as you would wish !
My Friend and myself, we would grasp little bits of everything. And stay a long time, chatting and enjoying the place.
It was a nice eating experience. :) ;)

Hector,

one of the band-families is from "Apple Valley" (Californian Desert). Strange enough, we happen to know another family from there that lives here from time to time and so they met each other during their stay here. They got invited for the best Mexican food ever, they said.
>You don't happen to live in "Apple Valley" .... if yes, it must be the "heart" of the world...? :D

Dear Walter,

I am Catherine.

Something sad happened to Hector :
http://forums.taxi.com/topic127217.html

Yes, Hector used to live in the Desert Hot Springs, same Region as the famous Green Palm Springs.
Amazing place indeed, suitable for the people who they call : "The Desert Rats" so hot it is there, and this most months of the year.
The nights are cooler though, and there is the wind, almost constant !
So Air Conditioning is a must, in the Homes and in the Cars.
Water is not a problem thanks to the grand underground reservoir of Water of California.

There is space, and there are many convenient Stores. America is always well equipped indeed.
And many Swimming Pools ! :) ;) Hector had a swimming Pool just next door to his Home, and it was free, part of the residential Community.

Surprisingly, the sky is often cloudy, and these Regions are reputed for beautiful sky views. Especially at Dawn and or at the Sunset.

After that there is the magnificent San Jacinto range of Mountains.

I give you two Photos here, but you could Google search the Region, and use Google Earth as well.

Oh Catherine,

I'm sorry to hear that...!
Must have been a major cut in your life. On March 8th me and my family also underwent some major changes, can't go deeper but we are very happy about that and now it seems to have a new life together as a family.
It did give us sleepless nights though and was and is still harmfull.

I wish you all the best and to get much strength from above.
