Quote:Definitely my husband....I got a really good guy. Cool...I've got a really good woman!!! It's great to have support of fellow writers and peers, but I gotta say there's nothing like having someone really close that supports what you do in spite of the odds and what may seem as a pipe dream. Of course, I don't know how long that support would last if I announce tomorrow that I'm giving up the 'day' job that is currently helping to pay the bills. All in all, I'm a lucky guy!!Steve V

Re: Who's Your Biggest Supporter?
My biggest supporters are the members of my musical family, on this forum and others; my students; and the fans that listen to my music & read my blog, etc. Not that my family & friends aren't supportive, they just don't "get" it to the same extent. My musical friends will get excited about every tiny step forward. It's great to have a cheering section

#1. My wife...she's not really a fan, but hugely accomodating. I guess she'd rather have me in the basement doing the "mad scientist" thing than prowling the streets looking for grins.#2. Three main collaborators...some are 800 miles away.#3. My 4 year old & my 2 year old boys....they can sing all the words to my first Taxi submission (much better than 5 out of 6 singers I auditioned for the track...D'Oh!)#4. Seems to be a really good vibe here at the Taxi Forum, I'm inspired by the sharing and success

Re: Who's Your Biggest Supporter?
I have like 2, a friend and my girlfriend, and they are supportive of me in general, i wouldnt say musicly, musicly I have a LOT of haters, esspescially my family, it would be disheartening but I have accomplishments allready to cling to, won some state rap battle competitions, and top of my class and stuff, but I kind of get supported by my music, than have anyone to actually validate me, didn't mean it to come out that cynical, but *shrug* just straight shootin

oh and not to demean any of you taxi folk, just been a little stand offish since I showed up, but I am used to that, text is a really bad medium for me, takes a little while to get my tone of voice and meaning. apparently I come off kind of aggressive or something, but I am just sarcastic and laid back
