Hi I have finally braved it and pasted one of my songs in to this section - my first time so I am quivering in me boots. A practise shot at revealing a song. There is another verse but I dont always sing it so didnt paste it. I've seen this title used before but that's okay. It's not like you were using baby I love you or something like that. I don't like the opening lines because they don't tell me what the singer/singee relationship is. I recommend zeroing on this before you do anything else with this lyric. Just something to think about..................................peace!

Ok, thanks for your opinion - never heard the song with the same title though, do enlighten me. I didnt copy it, in fact if I'd known I would have thought of a different title. Sorry you dont like the opening lines but then I guess we cant please all, I wouldnt recommend explaining what the relationship is in a song as the person may not like that and I wouldnt have thought that was needed as one can normally guess by the song. Most songs dont give blow by blow detail but its something to think about in the future.So what sort of stuff do you do then.Daff

It isn't a big deal to use a title that has been used before. Major releases do it frequently.Heck, I have a song titled "Anna." When I went on BMI and looked, there were 498 songs with the same title!If your song is titled "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," then I think you have gone too far. But for common phrases, there is no problem.
