Working directly with Post Production Co.

Post by guscave » Thu Feb 27, 2014 11:53 am

A close friend of mines is being courted by 2 production companies to do a new TV reality series. The companies already use established libraries for their cues, but I have a good chance at getting some of my own catalog involved as well. The problem is that I've never licensed songs directly to a production company; all my placements have been thru music libraries.

Anyone have some first- hand experience working directly with editors and/or production companies that can provide me some tips? Again this wouldn't be a one song deal, but more like 50 to 100 individual cues being licensed as a package on a non-exclusive basis.

Thanks in advance.
