WORSHIP BALLADS listing # S120321WB
Eliza and I are currently working on something for the Worship Ballads listing and I've gotta say: I'm really enjoying it!
I've been out of the whole "Church scene" for a VERY long time (I actually fronted a Christian rock band for a while) and I'm a little concerned that I'm out of touch with the genre.
I may post in Peer to Peer to get some input for people who are more familiar and up to date with the genre...
...is anyone else working on this as well? Any ideas who this might be for (please PM me)?
Stuart
NEW LISTING -- CONTEMPORARY and POWERFUL WORSHIP BALLADS a la "We Cry Out" Jeremy Camp, "You Are Everything" by Matthew West, "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe, etc., are needed by the Creative Executive at a Major Music Publishing company for an established and well-respected Male Christian Artist. They need STRONG and EMOTIONAL worship-based lyrics, with BIG lyrical HOOKS, and HUGE CHORUSES. A WELL-CRAFTED lyric and SONG STRUCTURE are SUPER IMPORTANT! Everything from ballads to up-tempos are welcome but melody and lyric style must be current and commercially competitive in the Christian market. Vocal and instrumental demo presentation must effectively put across the essence of your song! Please submit one to three songs per CD or online, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

We are working on a few things for this pitch. We just attended Winter Jam in Nashville and all of the music was great! You might ck out their line up to get some ideas. I do not know who the Taxi pitch is for. We're going to write to the listing, but it is awesome to be able to do some Christian music.

I'd be interested in hearing them at some stage...if you don't mind Steve.manninghollow wrote:We are working on a few things for this pitch.

I feel the same way now. I was already feeling re-interested in this genre again, when this listing came along. Now I feel ready!manninghollow wrote:We're going to write to the listing, but it is awesome to be able to do some Christian music.
