Worthy of a forward?

I finished my new song "Hittin The Nuts Tonight" and submitted it to the TAXI listing for Travis Tritt. It called for freewheelin, honky-tonk, up-beat country rock. Do you guys think it's worthy of a forward? I think it turned out pretty good. Hopefully it will get through. It was written for a movie pitch. Hopefully it will make the cut on that too. Hi Tony,I'll be honest with you, I think it's very unlikely this song would get forwarded to a Travis Tritt type listing. It's a good song, but the lyric is just way too poker specific and doesn't have enough general interest to become a radio, or even album, cut for a big artist like that.Remember you wrote this specifically for a poker themed movie, and unfortunately songs that are custom written for such a specific purpose rarely work as more general pitches.The song is also not particularly catchy melodically, it's sort of a "generic" uptempo country melody, so I don't think it would really cut it on such a high level.I think this song's potential lies in this specific movie; or possibly other film/tv placements, as the overall sound of the track and particularly the vocal would lend itself to bg applications.I would drop or fix the piano, it's way out of time and it sounds like the guy was drunk or something... it really detracts from the vibe of the song.There are a few more tweaks that would have to be made to fully elevate this to broadcast quality, but I don't think it's anything that couldn't be fixed with a bit of digital editing and a remix.So unfortunately, to me this is a "return" for such a high bar listing. If you want to get a poker-themed song cut in Nashville, the lyric would need much more general appeal...basically you'd need something with the universal appeal of - and on the level of - "The Gambler"...and that's an awful high standard to live up to.
