Re: would YOU spend the $10...? (listing & songs)
DO IT TED! i'm listen to the flute/guitar piece, and it's beautiful and to ME right on!BTW, the only link (thank Big Blue) that worked for me was going to the page he put up and finding the song...RLD, thanks for the try, big that big f-ing red X came up like the =true end stream does. i'm wondering if folks are doing like i did, right click copy shortcut, NOT anything else until you paste. i don't know. i bitched when i was a member, but have no bitching rights presently...ok Ted, gunna listen to the 2nd one now...ok, on Still The One, i find it very friendly and soothing as well--i just wasn't fond of the intro, threw me off--which doesn't take much...LOL...i'd start it after the current entry, if you can...very nice stuff--10 bucks for a fancy nashville songwriter? hell man, that's just 2 slilces of that fancy pizza i've been reading about...DO IT! the very bestwarren

Thanks, Warren. So, anybody have any feelings one way or another about the "two separate, individual submissions" idea, to hopefully help them stand alone? Will that matter?

before i get off for the day,in my opinion, each song has it's merit, and both fit the listing very well. if you have to pick ONE, i'd send the flute/guitar--but don't think you have to cut this baby in half at all.xoxosolomon

Re: would YOU spend the $10...? (listing & songs)
Well, mostly I was meaning to send them both in, but separately; so they won't blend together too much...so they can be heard as two distinct pieces of music.does that make any sense? Is that anything I should be worried about? Am I kvetching over nothing?

Will that matter? You never know Ted. I used the opposite strategy of purposefully sending different styles to a listing and I got one through. I have listened to both of your songs while working at my desk and I must say that I dearly love the second one with the accordion. Perhaps your screener will have a bias one way or the other or - like me - feel that you've scored a slam dunk with both! I can't get a read on a good strategy for you but I am here to tell you that these tunes really work for me at work. Both of them, for different reasons. Thank you for sharing and the best of luck to you, buddy!!Allen

Oh, man. Thank you so much, Allen, for the kind words.I'm seriously leaning toward the individual submissions idea, but it's good to hear that both of these have a pretty good shot at getting the big fat "F". Thanks, EVERYBODY, for chiming in.

Re: would YOU spend the $10...? (listing & songs)
Ted,Listening to "Just Say It" now. Sounds relaxing and melodic to me. Nice and long, too, which will probably help for this listing. Don't have an opinion on splitting up the submissions--I've never been smart enough to try that! Now "Still the One." Nice mix; melody/harmony is slightly darker, so that might not work as well for relaxing, but it's still well done. Accordion can be a "plaintive" instrumental sound, which also could work against this.I'd send 'em both in! It's your $10, though!V>

Thanks, V. Appreciate the listen. And the advice.I agree that the accordian is a little darker, so I'll be curious to hear what the screener has to say.Ted
