My son Tae (11 years old) is often compared to Michael Jackson vocally. He doesn't always appreciate it because for as long as he's been alive Michael hasn't had such a good reputation. Seeing as he's mainly seen the recent Michael, he's a bit bugged out when he gets compared to him, like he might end up like Michael.I tell my son that it's a huge compliment to be compared to a young Michael Jackson and that he would not grow up to act like Michael, even if he was to become well known for singing. Now that Michael has died so suddenly, at a young age, my son just commented that now he really doesn't want to be compared to M.J.Sure this will pass and he'll take the compliment in stride the next time this comes up.....or his voice will change and it won't matter anymore

Yeah, great music at the end of the day!Wasn't too happy when he got hold of The Beatles songs, especially after McCartney had helped his comeback with Say, Say, Say, but always admired his talent.Saw the news after the announcement, and there were already kids wearing "In Memory of Michael Jackson" t-shirts in Los Angeles!btw: Thriller writer Rod Temperton lived 5 miles away from my home. Saw him in a local pub when he was with Chigago Heatwave: Boogie Nights!

Dave you raise an intresting question I was wondering about today.... Just how many of the hits did Jackson pen himself, if any. Certainly not to question or take anything away from him, I just never thought about it thru the years - did he write? Chris

Chris Seems he did write quite a few; looking at the credits for Thriller, he wrote Beat It, Billy Jean and Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'.Rod Temperton wrote the title track.

So Farrah Fawcett dies and on arrival in Heaven, God says to her " Farrah, you did many good things in your life", you gave to charity, you helped with good causes and you entertained people. So I will give you one wish". Farrah says " please protect all the worlds children". And God said "OK Farrah", and immediately killed Michael Jackson. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

To ArthurYou may think it funny to say stuff about Michael Jackson, but when one tell jokes like this, it really shows an insight into who they really are. As a mythical joke, meaning he (MJ) is alive it might be ok, because its hypethectical but, this is for real. He is gone and not comming back. To come into this public forum and write what you did shows poor taste, and the true you.YOU ARE ONE SICK PERSON...BB

Why do you protect and love such a deviate? Because he was an entertainer? Gawd......get real and help protect the children in this world! The lives of the children he damaged are unseen in this rush to sentimentally mourn the death of a stranger. This was someone who gave children wine before he touched their "private places". The man was sick, he had a soul sickness that deserves no forgiveness. He was talented, yes, uniquely talented but he was also the worst, lowest form of predator.p.s. Yea, very sad. What a unique talent. What I'm wondering about is how his personal Doctor got to his home BEFORE paramedics (who arrived in 2-3 minutes). The Doc was already doing CPR on him.We won't know for a few weeks, but it sure smells like drugs to me, possibly prescribed by the same Doctor. WHY would his personal M.D. be there so quickly (if he wasn't already there)? Very odd ---Anyway, R.I.P. Michael. Ern
