thanks for checking out the Autumns, Ed.I wish you could have heard stuff from their older albums.the new album is gonna take me some time to get use to~and i hear you about going to lots of different shows in the span of a week...in the Uni, as a music student..we were given a quota ofhow many concerts we should attend in order to graduateso i went to tons of stuff i would have never have gone to ifnot force;) but I'm thankful for it..(cept some really nerdy band dork stuff i was made to sit through..trust me..you would been in agony, too...ack) peace

Most songs I like it is because of the lyric... the words need to say something to me.... make me feel ... but having said that.. One of my favoite albums is the Garden, by Mike Nesmith. There are maybe six words on the whole thing... Using the sounds of particular words to enhance an arrangement is a cool thing I've heard it done a couple of times, but I don't remember where... it was a while ago and I've drunk lots of alcohol since then.... but it did sound good. Nice to meet you Noel..i looked around for mike nesmith's garden album but no luckhowever i did find that his mother invented Liquid Paper correction fluid; )how about that~again with the topic...who would be your favorite in lyrical abstract?

Hello nooob I don't think we've spoken (typed) as of yet...so here I am, probably with nothing too interesting to offer. However, I thought I would say that I checked out "The Autumns" a few days ago. Bizarre but very good stuff and I'm always up for a new sound...."words like ornaments in the canvas of the music" - very cool lol, so go with it I say. If this is how you've always written and as you've named some of the groups that this is working for then gooooo with the flow. You know the industry wants a solid story but if you're happy doing what you do then don't give up.I will have a listen to your links now...Nice to meet you BTW.Lindsey.

thanks Lindsey...and added extra thanks for being willing to check out someof the silvercord sounds~many of the tunes i added her are more of what i thinkthe industry is looking for..however..there are some ambient tunes up there~yup i do understand that the industry really wants solid stuff.so im their guy for stuff that is solidly non-solid ehheeactually..if anyone is a "cure" fan...i noticed that their tune"plainsong" (on the disintegration album) is in the movie soundtrack "Marie antoniette"..i know that the Cure is a huge band with a huge followingmaking huge money they have pull to be on any kind of moviebut..the songs lyrics on "plainsong" are as hard to understandas my father...(Plainsong due to the overlapping vocal delay and my father due to when has had a few to many rum and cokes...)so..in a way its good news for me..even though my lyrics are muchmore understandable than my beloved band "the autumns"i also hope there will be more room for ambient musicin soundtracks..i remember in the late 90s there were lots of movies withsoundtracks that stereotypically didn't match with the moviessubject..and i LOVED IT...one was TRAFFIC by Cliff Martinez and David Torn)i hope there is room for fellow ambient composers in movies!
