There's little in the way of ''propulsive rock rhythms'' in Dirty Heads. They are much nearer reggae than alternative rock. Seems a strange 'a la'New Listing DISTINCTIVE, CONTEMPORARY ALTERNATIVE ROCK SONGS a la Dirty Heads, Muse, and Cage the Elephant needed by busy Film/TV Publisher servicing top-rated TV shows, advertising, film and trailers. Vocal attitude (Male or Female) should be swaggering and confident with clever lyrics that reflect youth-related themes of joy and/or frustration. This is a good opportunity to share your catchy hooks -- whether they are an irresistible riff, killer refrain or a full-on, soaring chorus. Propulsive rock rhythms should underscore modern production (be careful with those retro synth sounds, a lot goes a long way!) and guitars should be chunky or jangly, not noodling. Think fun and empowering. Broadcast quality needed (great home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Wednesday, October 13, 2010. TAXI #Y101013AR
