Anybody submitting to this? I'm a little confused... Whilst Hans Zimmer and David Newman are similar in style (strong instrumental orchestral themes) I can't see any similarity between these two and Sarah Blasko the other artist mentioned who is a fairly straight-forward indie-folk singer-songwriter from what I've heard... Anyone got any thoughts?

Thanks!

Mark

I have to say, I'm confused, too. "Sarah Blasko, Hans Zimmer, David Newman, etc.? The "etc." seems to lump them all together. Well, I guess if we're in line with Zimmer and Newman that would be okay.

I'm also puzzled by this a la since Zimmer and Newman would be dramatic, intense, emotional music and what this listing is looking for is environmental and ambient music. It's a little hard for me to square the two.

Anyway, Taxi, I'm not complaining. Just puzzled.

Indeed. I decided in the end to try to write something with a somewhat dramatic orchestral feel but with softer edges too. Who knows if it was the right thing or not.... Only time will tell.

"Hi, Yes infact i targeted me too mostly on 'Zimmer & Newman' Styles as well ..film and atmospheric therefore . I found most similiarities between those two.
