I like the way it keeps all my songs organized. Also, I'm able to store demo files directly into it's audio player.

It's perfect for "Writing Sessions" where you have a goal in mind... for instance, I want to co-write with a friend on Thursday from noon to 5 and leave with a finished song. It works great for that.

It's like any tool, it's only as good as it's user. I think if you consider yourself a professional songwriter, then it's a worth while investment. It is a little $$pricey...

BTW, I do own a copy and I'm glad I bought it.

the program isn't perfect, but it's one of the best investments i've made thus far. i use master writer every day -- the moment i turn my computer on, i immediately open this program along with my music sequencing/recording program. it keeps me organized with different versions of songs, notes, ideas, and collaborations. it definitely has saved me a lot of time and headache. $200 isn't a lot compared to how much i spend on my other gear.

I have used both versions 1 and 2 and recommend it. It helps get your mind working when you hit a brick wall and sometimes gets a whole new perspective going.
probably the most valuable aspect is Song Guard. With copyrights at $65 now Song Guard can really save you some bucks. You can save the song in stages as you right it also.
