I just booked my flight and reserved my hotel room for the 2009 Rally! Woo hoo!!!! Can't wait to get to L.A. and see all my old and new forum friends!- Big Blue

I know!! I can hardly stand it.Although, I must say, I'm happy to see someone BESIDES me starting the "countdown" thread I've done for the past two years.It IS addicting, isn't it? I usually start counting down around the 6 month mark, but I was too busy with the move to Nashville.PLUS...I ALSO booked my flight today. wooHOO!!! And for the first time in 3 years, I've been able to pay for it myself, rather than begging friends to spend their Frequent Flier miles on my behalf. Things are definitely looking up.

Hi guys!I´m a new member and just booked a flight from Sweden(!). Really looking forward to the Rally and to meet new people! How important do you think it is to stay at the "Rally hotel"? Haven´t decided yet.. Meet you there! /Christoffer

Members can book the Rally hotel at a MUCH cheaper rate if they book between Jul 6th and 20th. Check your email. I don't think you'll find anything as good at that price.

My hotel is booked! Just gotta find the flight. Whoo hoo! Who'da thunk that from my first shy post less than a year ago that this year I'd be excited to see everyone and meet many others I've only chatted with! Can't wait to see you all!!

Room booked ----Check! Flights might be another story. Still have to see who all's coming with me this year. My oldest son starts college this fall and we don't know his schedule yet There are usually 4 or 5 of us, at least...and that ain't cheap Money is so tight that it's squeeking around here. Sure hope sales pick up before we have to buy tickets.

I booked my hotel yesterday...much cheaper than last year. There is a 48 hour sale on Southwest Airlines. Yesterday the flight from Albany, N.Y. to LAX was $184. Today it is $90. The total with tax was $212. To get these specials, go to Southwest.com and sign up for their email specials. There are new ones every week. If you miss this one, there will probably be others. Thanks for the heads up Bob! I had booked with Southwest yesterday! Doh! I just canceled my flight from yesterday and re-booked today and saved $100!!!! Thanks man!!! I'm gonna buy you a drink at the Rally!- Big Blue
