Re: A favorite line from your own lyrics
Oh she writes quite prolifically. She just doesn't have a lot of direction yet. She's well into the drama clubs, and has landed the biggest part in her school play. Fame at last. Lol.I started writing poetry at about 7. I can remember the first two verses of one I wrote at 7, that blew everyone away. I'd written a books worth by the age of ten. My daughter is a bit slower there, but children have a lot more to distract them nowadays.I didn't start writing lyrics until I was about 19!!
It's been said that I have Murderous eyes.

My husband's favorite line from one of my songs is from the bridge of a recent jazz-pop tune with the unfortunate temporary title of "Love Scavenger:"Are you too weak to hunt on your own? Can't you compete with the king on his throne? You say you're satisfied to make do with cold leftoversOne man's trash is another man's girlfriendBut can you ever really be satisfiedWhen you've got no pride?

Re: A favorite line from your own lyrics
Had an OK song ("Bad Time To Be Good") that needed a bridge, came up with this last night in one of those "can't write the words down fast enough" spurts:All this time I've waited for a prince to show up at my doorBut the wolves kept knocking, So finally I let 'em in ...

Hmmm.......pre-cancer:I’m walkin’ the straight and narrowI’m stayin’ between the linesSo what if my life don’t fit meI only know half the time.I got this thing so down, babyDon’t you tell me this ain’t rightSo what if my soul is itchin’I got it all locked up tightSo perfectly frozen, there’s no crack in the ice(Good Intentions)During cancer surgery:This calls for some drastic measuresPerform a little surgerySome part of me is not trustworthySteel cure’s a necessityIronic how this turns out, baby,My life or femininity. My choices will make or break meEither way, I guess I’ll be free. You can go ahead and move onThere ain’t nothin’ here to see(Good Intentions)After cancer:You think I don’t walk the right roadI know what you say ‘bout meSo easy to cast enough stones,You’d hit me eventuallyYeah, maybe I could use some changesIt crosses my mind sometimesI’d get after it if onlyI wasn’t so damn tired. You better watch what you wish forThere’s no tellin’ what come by
