Dave, no, really, that's deep, man. It's a strong line anyway.
"In the future, when we finally get over racism, bigotry, and everyone is purple, red, and brown ... then we'll have to hate people for who they truly are."--George Carlin

From"Annie" (a song that never made it past the scrap pile)"I'd rather talk to you than sleep with her tonight"From "Boot Up", a song about a guy who boots up his PC every morning and hopes he has an email from a cyber love interest...I think about the little iconsI look between the textI look beyond your sideways happy-face :--)I look at how you signed off Casey

Casey, the song may not have made it, but save that line! I wrote a whole song, "Runaway Train", just to prove I could write rock. I can't. But I just finished a pretty nice country-folk piece, and used the only salvageable line in the bridge; All the years that I was crazy,A runaway train was just another ride.Scars inside and out from where I never should have been, Wound up here with you right by my side. Thanks og...That song is actually not bad and will one day come off the floor. The only reason I haven't taken it further is it is an ABAB format (no real chorus) song, and I became reluctant to get those recorded way back when I attended "songwriter school" LOL ...BTW, I think an ABAB song CAN make it, the Beatles had lots of them, but there has to be a VERY strong hook very early on. I am not talking about making it in Nashville, just getting usage somewhere.Anyway, back to lyrics... (If we want to talk about ABAB format, we should start another thread). Note: I just did that on Peer to Peer... Casey

Mama said "take your time" But how much time does she think I've got ?Before my senses start to slow down And my hair begins to fall out In "I Don't Need Nobody Else" I was "answering" to the old Smokey Robinson tune, "Shop Around", saying I think I found "the one"... This verse was supposed to be funny, but I don't think anyone heard it that way... Casey

My Toyota ran out of gas today. Just completely went dry and stopped running. That sure did make me late. I don't recommend procrastinating when it comes to gasoline. Has this ever happened to any of you? I hope I'm not the only one.Love to you too, Casey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
