Any "RALLY REGRETS" ???

Post by cyndy » Tue Nov 25, 2008 5:02 pm

Man... I've got some RALLY regrets...(1) I NEVER made it upstairs to the open mic... CANNOT believe it!!(2) I allowed some other "pressing" business to keep me in my room, on the phone, or on the computer far too much... which cost me valuable time that I could have been meeting so many more DOTS.Anybody else got any regrets???I intend to have less next year!!!(modified post: oops!... just found the earlier post by AllenDS. If this one mirrors it too closely, let me know. It'll be gone with the push of a button.)

Cyndy--I'm so glad you caught me and introduced yourself on registration day at the Rally-- glad to meet you!!-- and I wondered why I didn't see you around much that weekend. Too much business, eh?! Booo!!! Well, enough of that! Next year, come order some pizza with us in the lobby!!I never made it to open mic either... but no regrets. I loved every minute of my networking, meetings, and my time with all you dots at the Rally '08! Raags

Well, I regret not making more classes on Friday and Saturday. Friday especially. And I regret that I saw / met folks from the forum but never seemed to get time to talk to them. OTOH by Sunday night I was so short of sleep I'm not sure if I was making much sense I sang at the 'little' open mic on Thursday & planned to go back but never made it. Other than that, no regrets at all, at all.

I regret not meeting everyone that I wanted to but it was good to be in that one place with a whole bunch of folks that are so talented.

I used up so much energy getting ready for the rally that I didn't get to more classes on Friday - also that I couldn't spend more time just talking to other people that I met. I'm heading out a day early next year just to have more time to talk to people that I meet !

Hi Cyndy,It was great meeting you! My only regret echos others' here too: I didn't have enough time to really talk with everyone I met at the Rally. I don't even know if it's possible to do that, but I gave it my best shot!!Cheers!!Mazz

Anne, so glad I got to meet you, even tho briefly. Maybe a bunch of us can be "Day Early Dots" next year.Vikki, just thought of a couple more regrets... I didn't get to hear you sing... didn't get to hear your panel... and didn't get to meet your mother.JP, looks like we're all singin' the same song.... too many people, too little contact. That Dot Lounge may have to be enlarged before next year!!And Mazz, the pleasure was all mine!! Tell your sweetie that I haven't forgotten about our collab. I'm still getting settled-in after my move, so it may be a little while yet. Some ideas are rollin' around, though.
