Apocalyptic song- Due Wed, err... Thursday
This is just a worktape of a song I just banged out for the listing below.
I plan on doing the actual recording tomorrow (Wed, the day it's due).
Any feedback on the lyrics, vibe, etc ... would be great.
Thanks in advance!

Kiss it All Goodbye
Em
Don’t bother complainin' bout the kids today
Am
or the old school that you say has gone away
Em
Don’t bother complainin' bout the melting ice
Am
Or developing immunity to sound advice
C Bm
Take a good look around and then close your eyes
Em
Then kiss it all goodbye
Don’t bother your worryin', whos gonna shoot
Don’t bother protestin' 'bout the iron boot
Don’t bother separatin' plastic from your glass
Don't worry 'bout the disappearing middle class
Don’t bother with the relic of the modest dress
or the arcane beauty of a woman's breast
Don’t worry 'bout the children that we need as slaves
Don’t think about the people feeding from their graves
C Bm
Take a good look around and then close your eyes

Acoustic-based, Bluesy, R&B-ish Singer/Songwriter SONGS with a foreboding, “APOCALYPTIC” lyric theme are URGENTLY needed for a NON-Exclusive, $5,000-$10,000 Direct-to-Supervisor placement in a Hit TV show.
We recently ran this listing as TAXI Listing # U160701RB, and as you’ll see, the sync fee was much lower. We just got an urgent email from the Supervisor, and he is now pretty desperate to find something ASAP!
Quoting the Supervisor: “"We are in crunch time… this opportunity should be a slam dunk for you and your team… I need options fast. 5k-10k all in (Pre-Existing Songs). Please submit some great options! Thank you!”
NOTE: He is NOT looking for clones or copies of the referenced song. He’s hoping that somebody out there has something already done that has a similar vibe and an “end of the world could be near” lyric concept. The sync fee is now estimated at $5,000-to-$10,000, which tells us they REALLY need to find the perfect song, and pronto!
If you already submitted for TAXI Listing # U160701RB, please do NOT submit the same material again! Here’s some of the verbiage from the last listing that may help you determine if you have a song that could work for this:
They’re looking for soulful Mid-Tempo Songs that would generally be considered to be in the ballpark of “Ticking Bomb” by Aloe Blacc, which is the current temp track. Please review the song to get an idea of the vibe and lyric theme this Supervisor needs:
“Ticking Bomb” by Aloe Blacc
Give them original songs that deliver a similar vibe, without sounding like a rip off, copy, or sound-a-like. Matching the tempo could be a good idea, having an understated, almost plaintive vocal delivery and lo-fi approach to the recording and production might also work in your favor. Your songs should have a serious, soulfully heavy, and rootsy quality, with solid song structure and a very hooky and memorable, though understated chorus.
“End-of-times” style lyric themes are needed for this placement, but you’d be wise to keep them universal, avoiding references to specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced song in any way shape or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, vibe, and lyric theme. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding lo-fi home recordings are fine).
The estimated license fee for this is $5,000-to-$10,000. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Master and Composition rights (no publishing splits), plus you’ll also get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Thursday, July 14th, 2016. TAXI #U160714BS

Re: Apocalyptic song- Due Wed
The link didn't work for me; but the lyrics read well.
Certainly less 'fun' than my offering for this listing...

Re: Apocalyptic song- Due Wed
The concept seems to be in the right direction; the vibe & acoustic guitar.
The repetitiveness of "Don't bother..." started to be a little distracting;
but I don't have an immediate offering about with what to change it up some.
Let's see what other comments might be.

Maybe I shoulda tried the totally-satire/goofy-humor approach...
and written something about A-taco-lipstick...
Oh well... too late for me, but give yours a shot.
