The MIDI drummer is distracting me a bit though; sounds like a lot of the velocities are maxed at 127 (especially the fills), and the kit choice and its processing chain and panning might be too slick for this genre. I would try mimicking how they did it in the 70's: one overhead, one kick, one room, one shirtless drummer.
I'm with Jared, these covers are so tight, great playing, but the drums aren't nailed sound wise... the library might dig them though, if you can get TAXI to forward :)

Richard,

Listening while reading all the comments. The guitars (including the bass) are so good on all of these, that the drums don't bother me at all.

If I were a betting man, I'd say 2 out of 3 forwards (I'm hedging my bets and not saying 3 cause you can never tell with the Taxi screeners!).

Dig it Craw, I did miss the kick - snare hits that open the original version of this. Good luck!

Loved, loved , loved this band.

I'm no expert here, as you know, but yes, the drums probably need some dynamics.

It still made me remember her perfume and that thrill of dancing with her. Great work, as always, Crawman.

nick...her? oh, got it...

thanks for the drum critique. my shuffle loops suck, need new plug-ins.

covered this tune on a thousand bar dates back in the 70's. thank god for all the great brit bands who re-introduced me to my own country's music! the only one who blew my mind vocally more than paul rodgers was steve marriot in humble pie...whew! 30 days in the hole...a white male tina turner.
