bad company 'can't get enough' instrumental cover
trying another one for...
INSTRUMENTAL COVERS of CLASSIC ROCK SONGS are needed by the Owner of an incredibly successful Music Library who's already signed tons of TAXI artists to his roster! He's searching for Instrumental Cover Versions of Classic Rock Songs, in All Tempos, that could be found on the same charts as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Van Halen, Boston, etc. Your Instrumental Tracks should focus on the big, catchy, iconic hooks that have made these tunes instantly recognizable. He wants Covers of the HITS! Please don't submit deep album tracks from obscure bands of the Classic Rock era. Give him your best Instrumental Cover Versions of songs like "Back In Black" by AC/DC, "Rebel Rebel" by Bowie, "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath, OR ANY Classic Rock Hit you can think of! You get the picture... He wants the kind of tracks that we all know and love, and can easily play air guitar to. This Library wants straight sound-a-like versions of these tracks. You'd be smart to stick to the melodies and arrangements that made these songs the Classics that they are today! Please do NOT submit creative, alternate versions of these tunes, because that just won't work for this pitch....please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD no later than Monday, February 24th, 2014 by noon (PDT).

I think it's straight forward and direct. It hits me as a forward, but sometime one never knows. It does deliver all that is asked for in the opportunity description. Good Luck! D.B.M.

The playing is superb.
I'm listening on my iPad , so I may be mistaken but the drums sound a little too crisp for the seventies.
I would tone down the hi hat just a tad and warm up the snare.
Make it sound like it was recorded on an old Neve consol.
Rich.

Crawman!
This is also right on target like the Zepplin. Great tones! With your productivity you may fill that whole library yourself!
Great work as always.
Cheers! -Rob

The boys are wise. Excellent. You've got soul, Craw. Your playing sings. In fact you play like a singer sings. Not like an 'instrumentalist'.
Good call on the drums by rich..

bob, steve, graham, thank you. funny you say that graham...my old nickname was 'guitar talker', i guess cuz i phrase and breathe like a singer. helps on instrumental covers. that's why i decided to pay the dispatch fee for these non-vocal listings.

Guitar tones and playing are spot on! At least as good as the original.
The MIDI drummer is distracting me a bit though; sounds like a lot of the velocities are maxed at 127 (especially the fills), and the kit choice and its processing chain and panning might be too slick for this genre. I would try mimicking how they did it in the 70's: one overhead, one kick, one room, one shirtless drummer.
