Big Problem related to SOUNDCLOUD

back to the soundcloud problem.....lol...i gave up on soundcloud last year. why are they in business?

It looks as if we both agree on something ... Stupid S-O-U-N-D-C-L-O-U-D !!!

Lol. The resolution of this SoundCloud problem matters to me dear Charlie, because not only I have 33 Tracks uploaded at SoundCloud, my Music, but also because over 50 % of the TAXI Members are users of SoundCloud.
So when the TAXI Members ask for Review and FeedBack and Guidance, I cannot play my role as the "nice Music Consultant" of the TAXI Forum here.

But I love to do it, and I believe that they love me to do it ....

Hello dear Steve,

Many TAXI Members gave me Clues and Guidance in order to resolve this problem, and I am very grateful indeed.
But you know Computers, everyone has a different Computer, and I do not even live in the same Country as them. So, it is a matter of discernment.
And,
My major problem is that I lost the Password of my Computer.
It is simply blank. It is on Automatic Login.
Why ?

Ok; trying to be as brief as possible.

One day, I decided to change my Password.
Then Mac Valentine reacted as a true Pro upper class Computer that it truly is, (the Photos are in the Topic above, by the way, if you are curious to see my "Music Studio" - it will put a smile on your face - ), and went blank, and froze.
For security reasons !

But I did not know what had happened. Or why had it happened.

So I took Mac Valentine to the Apple shop, and they did just that, they unfroze the Computer by putting it on Automatic Login.

Problem is, now I do not have a Password anymore ! It is blank.

They even "locked" the whole thing.

So, if I want to use my Admin Disk for instance, (the most secure way to alter things on an Apple Mac), and create likewise a new Password, I cannot do that, because I have no Password.
And to unlock the Automatic Login, the Computer asks me, ... guess what ? My Password !!!

Ok; you have got it, it is catch 22 wheel.

I cannot update anything on my Computer right now. Each time, the Admin Password is required.
I shall go back to the Apple Mac shop in due time when I can.

Hey Dear Catherine!
Lots of us used to use Reverbnation sometime back. I stopped using it because
the streaming quality started getting fuzzy. Someone posted way back that
they had to change some things to support smartphones and devices, and it lowered the streaming quality....but I'm not sure that was the whole story or not?
I'd say go ahead, it couldn't hurt to. It was the place to be a couple of years
ago.
Maybe try uploading a couple and see if you have any problems with the quality
of their player?
They will bombard you with "opportunities" in your email if you don't turn off the
emails in your settings box...if I remember right?

Very nice of you to come here, and to give me this idea.

Not sure that SoundCloud is ok with that, though. As SoundCloud currently demands the latest version of :

- Firefox
- Chrome
- Safari
- Internet Explorer

They do not mention Opera, alas.

Anyway, like I said, I have to recuperate my Computer Admin Password which has been caught in a wheel 22 !! Long sigh ...

I gave all the explanations above.

Generally , nobody think to Opera, so although Soundcloud does not reference it, it is likely to still work properly.

also there are so-called "portable" applications that do not require installation and therefore by pass theissues related to the administration. for example http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/portable-software-usb/

as for reverbnation, too much spam from their services
Bandcamp is for me the best alternative.

Speaking of Sucrepop, it's mainly me, with a little help from friends from times to times. Different singers, different musicians, I'm a songwriter, not a performer at all. And yes, I'm based in France.

I use an old windows xp computer for internet. Because xp is no longer supported, I use linux precise puppy for important
password stuff, and sometimes xp for general browsing or searching. Soundcloud skips in the xp mode with chrome browser, unlistenable, however through linux precise puppy and foxfire nightly browser it runs smooth.

macpup is the mac version of linux precise puppy. Linux is an OS that can be booted from your mac without interfering with your mac os x. There are probably several versions of browsers from which to choose, you just need to find one that works the best on soundcloud, maybe they all do?? Nightly is a version of firefox, I'm not sure why I chose that one in particular, probably worked better in some way??
