Hey Bresky,Right now everything that runs in Kontakt or Kontakt Player, which is all the EW orchestra stuff that isn't on their Play interface yet, is not yet 64 bit compatible. Apparently Native Instruments is working on getting Kontakt up to 64 bit but it's not there yet.But according to Mark at VisionDAW, with a 64 bit computer, one instance of Kontakt can now access almost 4G of RAM. So even though Kontakt is currently 32 bit, it can take advantage of the higher memory capability of the 64 bit OS (in this case XP 64). That's what I'm going to be taking advantage of with the new system I ordered. I have some Play libraries already but won't run them on this machine until Kontakt gets up to 64 bit. Apparently there is an issue with 32/64 bit bridge that compromises the performance of the system. I can say the term but I don't fully know what it means!64 bit is the wave of the future but not everyone has caught up yet. Being able to access more than 2G of RAM per application is a big benefit, even if the apps are 32 bit. A bigger issue is the soundcard drivers. That's another reason I went with a purpose built machine, they have already tested and qualified drivers for the soundcards they sell. If you're building your own system, you have to make sure the drivers are 64 bit compatible. Good luck if you are brave enough to go down that path on your own!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Well, I could build my own system, as I work on systems daily, but I believe that my time would be better used writing.I will probably go with the Vision system, just have to figure out the money side of it.PM me whne you get up and running to let me know how it is going.Bresky

I will. I believe they're loading my libraries as we speak. I expect shipping in a day or so.Mazz
