I was an accompanying pianist for violins. We could have played together! Brinda, thanks! Someone else called Kenny "more avant-garde", and if/when I am in Florida or you are in upstate NY let's get together, I'd love to play with you! and Derek I liked your:Quote: IMHO it had a more American, new world feel to it as opposed to the the first piece which felt more old world European and hence had a "more sophisticated feel"..... I think I hear what you are talking about. Thanks for the encouragement, all! On with the music!I just had a successful string arrangement recording session yesterday for the Sim Redmond Band new CD (they are big in Ithaca and Japan, go figure), I played and conducted sometimes, with the part I was playing on my music stand, the score strewn around on the floor. It was a blast, and also exhausting, though I think I'm still high from it...--Mer

Good job, Mer!! FWIW, I agree with Derek, that Kenny's might be more American than European. Something to aim for, right? Classical americana[type tracks, maybe, that might work. Congrats! I foresee many many more (I'm wearing my turban!).

I'll keep an eye out for those listings - have you ever seen such a thing listed? Sometimes I've seen orchestral Americana... Keep that turban on and keep telling us what's happening...Quote:Posted by docdutch on Yesterday at 4:35pm both of those instrumentals sound really nice i think i actually like the one that got returned better go figure Thanks! I actually like that one better, too. And thanks Chits, Jean, and Clan, and everyone else for the congrats, I'm still pretty happy about it...--Mer
