COLOSSUS...I Likes What I'm Hearin'!!!

Post by ibanez468 » Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:06 am

Was delivered this morning, and just got through loading the last of the libraries up, and playin' with the sounds. They SOUND GOOD TA' ME!!! Big ethnic drum sounds, phat synth sounds, nice orchestral sounds, some decent guitar & bass sounds. There's a good deal there ta' work with. I likes!I-468

cool! i just wanted to get my feet wet with the EW stuff, so i bought Adrenaline and Percusive Adv 2 LE. It uses INTAKT and it's a little confusing to me. i could use some tips if anyone has some. any tutorials? it came with a manual but who wants to read that? jk, i'll be reading up but could still use some pointers.also, i stumbled upon NI Kore Player, it's free from NI's website and it has a decent amount of instruments and sounds, it's pretty cool!have fun with COLOSSUS!

ibanez468-- cool, and congrats on the new purchase!! I'm saving my pennies and dimes to improve my samples and studio, so it is nice to hear a review of the Colossus package. Of course, with limited resources I may have to make a choice between Colossus and the Spectrasonics Omnisphere that comes out this Fall.Looking forward to hearing some of the Colossus in your tunes. Post 'em up when you've got a new mix to share.Peace--

Colossus is a great library for starting or filling in a collection. Lots of really good stuff.
