The listing:Crossover COUNTRY/ROCK SONGS a la The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, etc. are being sought after by a Producer at an L.A. based production company for a new duo that is being pitched to major labels and high profile independents. While this act communicates a California country sound, it is comprised of a guy and a girl, giving it a marketing angle a la Sugarland. He is looking for a couple of more songs to finish the project. A wide range of topics are acceptable, including lyrics that "hint" at an inspirational theme, but aren't overtly Christian in content. The Producer (who has worked with such acts ranging from Trisha Yearwood to the Nitty Gritt Dirt Band) will be screening the material so this is an excellent ground floor opportunity to be heard. Cam,Yes, it made it through... even at 4:38. However, the length has more to do with the production versus the amount of lyrics (see below). At first I was thinking the screener was way off-base (which is nothing knew around here imho)-- as it doesn't sound anything like the referenced groups to me-- until I re-read the listing:"He is looking for a couple of more songs to finish the project.
