Aub/Liam,First of all I really liked both songs... Chasing Cars is a dead set love song.. I'm not sure either of your songs really leave you with that feeling... My first impressions are Aubs had a real "chasing Cars" musical feel to the start of it.. but maybe the lyrics were a little hard to access given the lack of prosidy..But I’m going somewhere Far enough away That I don’t care What they’re gonna say "far enough away" resolves musically ... then "that I don't care" feels like you're onto a new thing... when you're not.. And Liams whilst a very good song doesn't really feel like "Chasing Cars" and the listing is obviousley after thatJust a question... who is the song about? him or me?Is she so beautiful? Is she the colours that he can’t see?Is she a first mistake? Is she sweet summer heaven running right through me?Anyway. I must also qualify my comments by stating this is my first attempt at reviewing a song and I have not had any placements to talk of as yet and you guys have a far more extensive and better sounding catalogue of songs than me. I really hope I have not come across as critical. Peace.

BobbyDazzlerA few things:1) Please don't apologise for criticising my work: it's the only way I learn. And I welcome it. Really. It's not like I write symphonies or anything.2) As for the pronoun incongruity in First Mistake - well, you're not the only one to have spotted it (the other being John Braheny - so you're in good company). The idea is the deception in thinking the song is in the 3rd person (he, she) and realising at the resolution of the chorus (4th line) that the songwriter is actually singing about himself (1st person). But no-one seems to get that! Which means I haven't written it well enough!3) I think this is an interesting case - I really thought Aub's track was a bit stronger but didn't get forwarded.Greeting to Aus - my brother in law lives in Melbourne. Thanks for your comments!Liam
