Domestic Bliss?

Post by mazz » Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:55 am

With everything going on I managed to bang this one out for the "a la Desperate Housewives" dispatch listing. It came out kind of tango-ish but I have to leave it there. I call it "Domestico" and it's best said with a bad Ricardo Montalbon accent imitation I hope it's at least lightly comedic........... Here's the listing:COMEDY INSTRUMENTALS a la “Desperate Housewives” are needed by the Music Supervisor for an Independent Feature Film. Musically, the sonic quality should be fresh, bouncy, light comedic and smart/current sounding. Cheers,Mazzhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=94275&stream=1PS: Oboe and Bassoon are from Kirk Hunter Diamond library, percussion from Ethno Techno (Stylus Expander from Ilio), Liquid Grooves (Stylus) and the rest from EWQLSO.EDIT: Also put this catalog piece in for the same listing: http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... 2&stream=1

I like it. It's almost creepily light & airy, lol. Great work.

Sounds great Mazz, sounds like the happy cousin of the Six Feet Under theme.

Hey Mazz,I've been out of pocket and missed this originally but it's definitly one of your best. I probably say that every time but this has a great feel and if anyone is wondering about how "realistic" orchestral sounds have to be, this is an example of what we all are up against... and there's LOTS of home based composers like Mazz. "Synthy" sounds won't cut it anymore but fortunately really good sounds are affordable.Really nice...Dave

Mazz,I'm submiiting to this listing as well. Hopefully we have permanently broken the string of: "you get forwarded/I don't OR I get forwarded and you don't" Here's to being "Desperate"I'm submitting "Distant Relative"http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=1The cello is the Garritan Gofriller Cello that has been discussed in previous posts.Chuck
