May 10, 2008, 5:32am, hurowitz wrote:I Was Kelly Greene's LoverActually, I think you got the mens' t-shirt. To add my .02 here... I think the "dots" idea is a cute one. I appreciate the idea of not creating an exclusive kind of clique feel, and that's good to keep in mind for the Rally, for sure. (At least until we all sneak off to our "dot" party! Heh heh heh!) I also really appreciate knowing that there will be an easier way to identify all of you, to find you all. It's either that, or we all wear red leather jackets or something. LOL!! (I do kind of like the lighted dots on Casey's butt though...) Honestly, a friend of mind was at the Rally last year (I gave him my guest pass), and I only found him on a lucky break at one of the driver's ed classes. Now, I realize I don't have a cell phone, and that's part of my problem... This year I don't want to have that happen again and miss meeting all of you forum friends of mine. So I plan to wear a dot in November, because I don't look much like my hot, sexy, steaming avatar photo...Speaking of which, I've got some pink lemonade punch here to celebrate our half-way-there-to-the-'09-Rally date... I can't wait to meet all you dots next year! Raags

Maybe we could be wearing star stickers this year instead of dots...at least "star lounge" would sound "exclusive". Seriously though...people who don't attend the Road Rally *will* feel somewhat "left out", because they *do* miss out.Calling ourselves something else, or even nothing, won't change that. And every forum member who attends the Rally is welcome to wear a dot and become a dot if they want, so it's not an "exclusive club"...matto

Dudes!! It's not even a thing all y'all did.....it was from some comments where a couple of folks said "well, you'd have to have been at the Rally and be a dot" and I ended up getting emails and PMs or whatever about it, people feeling a bit resentful that private stuff was going on in public settings like the boards. I know all y'all had a wonderful time (I know cuz a bunch of you called me with details.....Some really crazy stuff all goin' on there, nice butt, Case!) and I know there was no intention on anyone's part to leave anybody else out. It's jes when newbies come on and start using "dots" as an example of how to behave on the boards, it lends itself to renewed feelings of alienation is all. Personally, I'd rather see the dots misbehaving but that's prolly another year. The dots are all good no matta where they go or who they meet, whether they wear I Was Kelly Greene's Massage Therapist, TOUCH ME! or red leather or leftover dots from last year. All y'all made sure to invite lots of folks to come out this year, it was a loving experience last year (more so for some, apparently, weapon, ) and one I'm sure all y'all can't wait to experience all over again (sounds like Disneyworld!).Be Dots! Do Dots! (heh) Be happy!

Based on Liam's recent Forward, I think all the Forum Members Attending the Rally (FuMARs) should have to wear frosty pink lipstick this year.

Hey all...Squids... It wasn't really your comment that got me thinking... It was one my mind for a while since 1-2 people mentioned either privately or publicly that it bothered them. Some of that also comes from my knowing I got a little carried away myself with dot stuff last year. Everyone who chimed in is right. It doesn't matter what we call ourselves. I just want everyone to feel as welcome as I did when I met all of you last year. Like Kelly, I was a little apprehensive last year about meeting so many cyber-friends. Would we get along in person? When I got there, it was like I always knew everyone.Well, thankfully I raided the office supply cabinet last year and have lots of leftover colored circles... My butt is waiting. So, I hope this doesn't become some long drawn out big-deal thread (at least not this part)... Personally, I'm giving the pink lipstick some serious thought.... Casey
