Milfus, you should start saving up now. You will get a lot out of it and sounds like you could use a vacation too.Nomi

I've actually been thinking about driving to L. A. for the Rally. I can't fly right now because of certain health reasons, but I might could drive. I would have to drive by myself.....hubby doesn't have much vacation time left, so he couldn't make it. It would cost a fortune in gas, so when all is said in done, I probably won't be able to make it....my finances just aren't that great lately. I still think it would be cool though.....driving across the desert and other types of terraine..... seeing the whole countryside....a most excellent adventure. I'd be Thelma without Louise. And of course, I'd get to meet y'all when the trip is over....it's sure better than having to drive off a cliff in the end, although it would be cool to be able to meet a young Brad Pitt along the way.

Nomi! Can't wait!Chits, girlfriend, what can I say? I'd love it if you could come. I'd Louise foi ya (wouldn't hubby go too? He could Louise fo me in a pinch as long as all y'all don't end up at the bottom of a cliff). It'd be a nice drive, nice scenery. Anne!! Can't wait to meetcha too! I could pick yo brains about Logic. Yay! (you've already got that trapped look on yo face, I can tell, hahahahah)KG, you gonna be there? Right? Cuz I can't do my posse if my girl ain't there. I also might get to meet bird and her mom (who's gotta be a blast!)! Gosh, I gotta quit thinkin about it in case I can't make it. Milfus, lil bro, you should go if you can......it'd be a nice break foi ya (don't go back home, stay in LA instead! Save yourself!). We could argue about cowrites (while we cowrite, hahahahah) for hours. Heh!

Squiddy, I'd love for you ta Louise for me....I forgot which one was Louise...was it Susan Sarandon? You are definitely the Susan Sarandon type, and I'm definitely the Gena Davis, Thelma type....I can see it now. Of course, you have a plane ticket, (I think?) and being that I'm not sure I can make it, well, you're better take the sure way to L. A.

Squids and Chits doing a Thelma and Louise across country? Cool... Just don't go to bed with some cowboy and leave all your money wrapped up in a newspaper on a night table by the bed... And please don't drive over a cliff... Stay focused on LA...Maybe I'll see you lovely Southern gals... Casey

Have you thought of the train? If you get a roommette all your meals are included, and they have that nice club car with wine & cheese every afternoon. I find it's cheaper than flying. Of course it takes longer, but if you were planning to drive it would likely take a while & you'd have to pay for gas, meals and motels too.

I don't turn my sarcasm on for the forum, but in person... I think people might be afraid of us LOLChits - like Vikki said, maybe the train would be an option or even Greyhound. My sister has done some CA-NY trips via Greyhound because it was the cheapest option.
