Aub, my friend. I agree. Embrace it. Own it. It IS, after all, yours.About a week ago, I was suddenly struck with a thought/potential song lyric that I liked so much I had to write it down. It was:"My dreams are not within my grasp, They're right here in my hands (arms)..."I will weep for your successes, my friend.Ted

I'm going to take this one as as step to the big one. Just got an unexpected phone call that is going to take care of a big chunk of a financial crisis we are in at the moment... do the math, 6 kids, one in college, 4 in braces and so on and so on.So... it's not a music deal, but I'm going to take it as a sign that the universe is lining up in my direction

So... it's not a music deal, but I'm going to take it as a sign that the universe is lining up in my direction [/quote]Sure sounds like it to me. And that's absolutely the right attitude, my friend. SO VERY Glad some weight was lifted from your shoulders. That just means you can rise even higher.Ted

That's great news, Aub! It'll make the holidays a little lighter. It's funny, you never know what you do in your life that you will be able to apply later. I didn't realize while I was working special effects for Universal, I was receiving the training that I used to produce and direct music videos, then write underscore and produce sound effects and foley for a feature film, and now producing a documentary with the help of the New York Foundation for the Arts. Without that previous experience, they wouldn't have taken my proposal seriously. Now, in many of the contacts I've made concerning the film, I'm in the world of those who appreciate the artistic quirkiness of ONOFFON's music. One feeds off the other... this is where I've needed to be all along.

Here's a good one -I just had to fill out a W-9 form for the company we're signed with that places music with Muzak and includes our entire repertoire in a library of music supervisors. Both deals are non-exclusive and don't involve any publishing or writer's royalties.Usually, it's my experience that when a company needs your W-9 on file, it's a sign of imminent money...

VERY cool, Von. Keep us posted. (You are SO BAD about letting us know what's up with your career ... you should work on that.) Ted

Today, I got an ASCAP letter in the mail!It wasn't the award $$ --- It was for the grand sum of $13.76.Two lunches at Subway for me this week!
