Ever get the feeling you're about to get the call

Post by aubreyz » Mon Nov 26, 2007 9:17 pm

Okay, I'm not normally all meta-physical-- but the last week or so I have this incredible sense of expectation that something is about to change. Every time my phone rings, I expect it to be "the" call. Maybe it's just post rally buzz, but I've never had such an overwhelming sense that "it" is about to happen (and I'm not even sure what "it" is). At the risk of sounding like some wacko, I just wanted to see if anyone else has had such premonitions that actually came to fruition.I've often felt what I call "the winds of change" as I near a decision point in life, but this particular expectation is unique -- and as far as I know there is no tangible evidence of anything "in the works", but I can almost "feel the deal". Weird? Or am I...lolAub

Hey Aub,I've actually been feeling the same way since a bit before the rally...I'm not sure what it is, but I've had the feeling that something's about to happen or come through.I'm just a little weary of talking about it in case I'm wrong! But I don't know, I've been feeling something just like you just described...I guess we'll have to see!Dan

It wouldn't surprise me at all if good things are blowing your way. I hope you've been singing every day in prep for your gigs in the New Year!hugsHummin'bird

Some would call me delusional but I've felt that way all my life - especially now. After writing to more than 500 foundations on behalf of my father's documentary, I feel like every phone call, every trip to the mailbox, every BB response, every private message, every chance meeting with someone that could make it happen, could be truly life altering. All it takes is one - the right one....

I used to feel like that all the time too, Aub. It's an exciting feeling. I think when you've worked hard at prepping your music, met contacts, put the word out and worked hard some more, there's bound to be some feeling of expectation there. The beautiful thing is, it could happen too!Good luck. I'm keepin my fingers crossed foi ya.

Hey Aub,I would go one step further. Embrace that feeling and expect it to happen! Then get to writing some more songs so that when the call comes you have even more to offer.Don't think for a minute that you are silly for feeling this way. It means that you know in your heart that you are ready!!That call will come, but don't just wait for it. Keep doing the things that brought you to this place. All the best,Cisco

Aub,I had that feeling after the 2006 Rally and a month later I got my TV gig. I had spent a bunch of time working on getting my composing and sounds up to where I felt I would be ready when the time came and it came! After meeting you (and even before from meeting you here) I can say that you have everything in place and are ready to accept the gig when it comes!I don't discount these kinds of feelings at all. It's being tuned in to this stuff that is part of why you're so good at what you do.I predict great things for you soon!Mazz

If you do get "the call" in the next day or two, would you consider picking my lottery numbers this Saturday / Seriously, I hope your sense of expectation leads to reality!Larry

One more thought, Aub....It's usually an accumulation of many smaller things that eventually make the one big one possible.Don't discount the small things that may actually be the big thing.Hope your intuitions come to fruition...
