EWQLSO GOLD BUNDLE

Post by tinozigzag » Thu Jan 31, 2008 8:22 am

I hope someone can help.About a couple of weeks ago I ordered the EWQLSO gold bundle. When I eventually got it. I loaded it into my computer which is not on line.I have been trying to registered it off line with a different computer ever since without success, with various error which I have been regularly reporting to Native instruments.Eventually they send me a list ( from EWLSO USA) of how exactly to do it off line. After I went through it bullet by bullet I was able to register the XP part of it but I am still having no joy with the EWQLSO Gold.According to the registration tool I have got the wrong Serial #.How is that possible! Can anyone explain how to do it properly and what am I doing wrong. All this is getting very frustrating!!Lots of thanksTINO

I thought you only needed to register the XP part (since it's a bundle). I don't remember, cause it was really easy to do. A suggestion though - if possible - hook up your audio computer to a telephone line, get on the dial-up & register online. A lot easier, I think.

I agree with hummingbird. I have a computer specifically for audio production that I never go online with, except when I had to register products from Eastwest. I bought one of the composer bundles that included The Gold Bundle, Symphonic Choirs, Boesendorfer 290, and Ra. I downloaded the Native instruments Registration tool software on my online computer, ran a virus scan and then installed it on my music computer. After that I plugged in my music computer online (takes no more that 30 seconds) and registered all 4 products. I have had no problems with viruses or anything else and my Eastwest products are registered and work fine. I understand that most people are nervous about going online with their music computer, but if only to register a product...I don't see the harm.Hopefully this helps-Boardman

This is good to know. I am going to be going through this same thing in a few days. Having just purchased a new machine I have been wrestling with putting it online. My only real concern with keeping it off line is keeping things like operating system, virus/spyware, players, patch libraries etc.. current. But I suppose I can go ahead and just plan on a once every month or so routine where I go online and check sites for updates. This seems like a reasonable approach.

You're alive! And in good spirits. What a perfect post to reach #100 posts with and become: A.Full.Member. Yes folks, I have arrived. You may be seated. Sorry for the digression. Back to bizzzz - TINO, registration offline is a beeeeyatch, but I did it. I had to copy the #'s into a text file and run them back and forth between the two machines, but I couldn't enter them in right no matter what I did until I just cut and pasted. I kept getting them wrong. Too many flippin' numbers. As bad a MicroSoft or something! cb

Chrisbee, yes you are right. It has been a nightmare to register off line, and all because their instructions are not very clear.I am still having problems with it. Now it won’t load in to the player. According to the player, my programme is not compatible!!Native instruments must be stressed out with me, because their answered are not as prompt as they used to.Tino

Are you on Intel Mac? The Kompakt Player that ships with Gold is not compatible with Intel Mac. You'd need to upgrade to Kontakt or Kontakt 2 Player.Native Instruments' online registration has never been very great, IMO, so I can't imagine what the offline system is! The upside is that all your registrations are stored on their website so you can recover serial numbers, etc., just by going on to their website.Good luck with this!Mazz
