Quote:The VSt is okay loaded into Steinberg. Most of my VSTs that SONAR uses are there. Go to the plug in manager and you should see the Steinberg/VST folder is automatically scanned by SONAR when it starts. If not, you can tell it to.All of my plugins are in Steinberg and not a problem, but this one. Sonar couldnt find it, couldnt point at it. Then I decided to move the vst manually (Have done that with others) and it was a mess. Had to reinstall EZ. I might even do that again, still with problems, now with timing. Now the groove doesnt adjust to the timing of the track, but changes it. I have a messed up track now.

Boy, doesn't sound so "EZ" to me. Just taking mine out of the box right now. Might have to get some 12 year old whiz to help. Did you check out the utube video? Sure looked "EZ there. Paul

Once you've dragged your groove to your MIDI track, check to see that it starts on the downbeat by using one of the editor windows to view it.Also, remember that EZ drummer doesn't "play" the grooves, it only plays back samples. The play button in the groove audition section is only for that, auditioning grooves. The MIDI track is what "plays" the grooves. The MIDI notes will play back in the bar they're in at whatever tempo the sequence is set to, just like a piano part or bass part or any other MIDI information. The MIDI information is not tied to tempo at all. You must be doing something else not quite right. Now that you've had a bit of time with the program, I'd suggest going back and reading the manual from page one and watching the video and any other resources that you can find and I think you'll have a better understanding of the software. All of this stuff is EZ once you know how to use it!! What you'll learn from this experience you can apply to the next piece of software and before you know it, you'll be posting tech support advice on the forum!!Mazz

Im going back to reinstall it Mazz, I did read the manual, not that is much, is about one page only, the rest is just credits, etc. Im hitting play at the midi track, not the groove, and it changes the time of the rest of the tracks, all midi, not audio. Im going bonkers, dunno what could I be doing wrong. BTW, I was draggin from the right place, not the list of grooves. Ill try and post a screenshot. Just by looking at it you know it isnt right. I mean, this should be easier to set than Sonar and EQWL and Ozone and all that, right?

Take a look at your tempo view (Under "Views" menu or Alt-9). Make sure the tempo line is straight across (same tempo throughout the track). I'm guessing you'll see it's 200 up until measure 3 and then goes straight down to 100. If that's true, how it got that way is a mystery (sort of). Use the eraser tool at the top of the Tempo window to erase the 100 tempo so that everything is 200.What the heck are you playing at 200bpm anyway?

Have no idea what's going on and don't care, I just want EZ to work for me! )No, it was just to set an example. (The 200). Dunno what program you have, but in Sonar you "fix" the tempo with the Insert new tempo option. No dice, it reverts to 100 as soon as EZ kicks in. Why I have no idea , I think I have everything routed the right way!

Brindabella,I have SONAR and EZDrummer.I'm not sure if you followed Dave's advice, but be sure to look at the tempo map like he mentioned. That would make it do what you are describing.
