Re: Forum Newbies... a few thoughts
Quote:Hi Jensen, my name is Tino Aureli, and I am certainly a newbie for what TAXI is concerned. I am a guitarist-composer (www.myspace.com/tinoaureli) and Italian by origin. I have lived in England (London) for the past 35 years. I am 60 years of age with a very big language problem. This prevents me in getting more involved in this forum. I am lurking around most of the time. I have found that this forum is full of good advice and all these people are really experienced and very willing to help.I did have one little post about my overall confusion on many listing has all the music submitted by me have been returned with (…not suitable for this listing) and I have to say that they have all been very helpful. I have had very good feed back from which I have learned straightway……to read the listing well before you forward any music!! So you don’t get disappointed.God bless you all.Wow, tino, you're doing really well if you're translating bad English (mine- a terrible southern accent) into Italian and still understand it. Kudos!! Keep posting! Bless you too.

Re: Forum Newbies... a few thoughts
Hi everybody,My name is Tanja and I just joined Taxi and the board literally this week. I have been thinking about joining for couple of years and for some reason now seemed to be a good time (and I had some leftover loot...). I am a songwriter/singer (mainly Adult Contemporary songs) originally from Finland and have been writing for about two years now. I write great melodies but often (=always) really get stuck on the lyrics side - I wonder if writing great (and I mean great) lyrics is something you can still learn over time or whether I am stuck in mediocrity forever. If you want to hear what my songs sound like you can visit www.myspace.com/tanjasmusicVikki: I think the Newbie corner idea would be really great because I have no idea where else to put my intro besides here. I look forward to posting and interacting with all of you while learning to be a better writer.Cheers,Tanja

Re: Forum Newbies... a few thoughts
Hi, I'm brand new to the forum! My name is Chris and my husband's name is Gary... hence the name "GnC". We were so thrilled to be at the Road Rally this past weekend. We joined Taxi in August of this year. I throughly enjoyed EVERYTHING about this event even tho I'm not the musician in the family! My husband Gary has been a guitar player for many years and has written lots of great songs. But like many "older" musicians, the majority of his songs are stashed in file folders, notebooks, etc and need to be updated! So needless to say we love what Taxi is all about!!! We enjoyed meeting so many of you, the Taxi Family, at the Rally. Everyone was so nice, so real, and so helpful... what more could you ask for in an event of this size! We're really looking forward to next year, especially now that we know what to expect. As a newbie to the "forum world"... I thank you ahead of time for your patience during my learning curve... I welcome all the help I can get Aloha, Chris

I met many GREAT people there and It's a very inspiring moments for me, so if you don't mind i guess I'll hang around in here with you all. Hey Ponch, 'been aware of your collab with Aub for a few months now. Nice work on the "Psy-Sneakers" cut. I'm a fellow guitarist. Was a Les Paul bigot for many years, but have switched to a Tele and my current fav, a Zion Bent T with an array of Joe Bardens. Traded all my Mesa Boogie powered Marshall bottoms for a Rivera 1-12 Combo (bluesy little screamer) and have been gigging with the Roland./Boss VG 8. You can hear some of my work at: paintriver.com. I like your rhythm excursions and ability to build pockets via tasty counterpoint -- the hallmark of an artist IMO. Gimme shout anytime you feel like talking groove guitar shop.best,bc
