I'm a lefty too. I play guitar right and golf right. That's about it for opposite hands. Glad I learned guitar right handed because everything is written that way (instruction books, etc) and the availability of instruments is much better. My husband is also a lefty. Plays drums and golf right handed too. His teacher made him switch. He is glad he did. Easy to jam without rearranging the whole stage. My biggest nemesis is the ironing board. Neither side is comfortable. Thank goodness for care free!

I'm a progressive Democrat, so I guess I'm a lefty. But seriously, I had surgery a couple of weeks ago for a torn biceps tendon in my right arm, so I had to quickly transfer several everyday chores from right to left. I'm not sure what this has to do with the topic "at hand" - but I made it to page 3 of this thread and thought I better say something.Nothing 'left' to say.Richard

Re: How many lefties
When I think of "lefty's" this always brings to mind images of Jimi Hendrix and Paul McCartney. Sort of off-topic, but in January 2009, I stayed in Manhattan (NYC) for one week. While walking downtown, I got lost on my way back to my hotel. But along the way, I happened to pass by the Hard Rock Cafe. I was on no schedule that night, so I randomly wandered in the door. I went down a flight of stairs where I quickly discovered memorabilia that had been donated by famous music. First, I seen a large "hog" motorcycle. Then I swiveled 180 degrees to see Courtney Love's guitar on the wall. Then I wander around a corner and there, enshrined in a glass showcase, was Paul McCartney's famous Vox Beatles bass, right before my eyes! Talk about seeing the most famous "lefty" bass on the planet! I had my pocket video camera with me, so of course I snagged footage. To the right side of the was a large glass showcase with 4 suits The Beatles worn for an album cover. Those are the 4 most famous "lefty" suits I have ever seen!
