Here's a couple o tunes. Please keep in mind that most of my music is slightly left of center (a bit quirky)http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... am=trueI'm never quite sure which listings to submit to.... I'd love to hear what you think!

Blimp.... I got to tell u I love this stuff....It's so cool...Ok ...Here's what I here ..1) first track...Love when the harmony comes in , but around 1.07 sounds a little pitchy to me. The rest is great...2) 2nd. track.. Sounds great don't here any problems...3) 3 rd. track.. Love the harmony at 30.00 sound little Beatles & the Hawaiian guitar at 70.00 That's real nice... I haven't listened to many Quirky type tracks so I can't tell u where it is for the listing, but I can say this is real good job & I love the vocals here... You will have to wait for the Bird, mazz.dave.vtbp, etc. to post on to get that advice, they got the exsperiance.....Jay...r-man.

I liked the first song with a little distortion on the vocal! I think it will fit the psychedelic listing (pink floyd and so on). I will send some material myself to that listing. Take care!

Hey Blimp... very cool stuff!Tiny Tiny: Great song that could be used for... I don't even know what... but VERY usable! Good groove, funny... but laid back enough so that the applications are really endless. Great bass line... the backing vocals were the perfect choice. Even though it has that late 60's style bridge, it's really quite timeless in the treatment. Only thing I wanted was a sloppy ending where everything just kind of unravels.... but I can definitely live with the fade! Excellent piece!!All Is Said and Done: Kind of milk toast after the first song, but I like it! Really good guitar and drums on this one. My only comment is on the mix.... sounds like you're using a phaser or flanger on the vocals, and the song really isn't quirky enough to call for it. You may want to have a "straight" mix for some listings, so that the words can be a little more clear and punchy. Also, you might want to chop the intro in half so you can get to the meat! Sweetheart: One word... AWESOME! You really captured a unique style that should get you not just forwards, but deals. Nicely done!

Without reading any posts in this thread, my initial reaction is that, if you have a dozen more songs as good as those, you should submit for artist listings, and when everybody that's anybody turns you down, send me a PM, and I'll dedicate my life to finding someone who'll see that you get famous, or I'll do it myself. Given what I just heard, it shouldn't be all that difficult.

BlimpI listened to track 1... Really enjoyed... There are a lot of calls for quirky music in film/TV, just keep your eyes open for them. Sometimes having a niche is good-- makes yours stand out from all the others. I wasn't sure if the vocal was TOO distorted. I know that was the intentional effect but I'm not sure where the line is. Take that with a grain of salt-- I really don't know. Most important is to get feedback on the production, engineering, and mix because this is a film/TV pitch all the way. If the production is good, the right quirky opportunity may come up... Casey
