The good part about the flash drive & sneakernet protocal is that it forces me to be serious about "am I done with this?" before I actually go and upload a file.

The fine print states that the screeners listen to your mp3 as you uploaded it...the Taxi green "play" button launches a compressed version of your song. So we hear a fuzzier version than the screener does (I hope). This is true of many hosting sites-the streamed version is a smaller file and a file that's downloaded is the file you uploaded; MySpace and SoundCloud work this way, for example. I think SoundClick might be an exception.

I'd get players on the other team saying "what's with the three digit number?!?"For a while, I was home-run champ, so I'd just tell them they would understand later after I made another full circle.Only one person ever got that joke...HAH! That's hilarious! Next year you'll have to put the Phi digits on your jersey! ,Suz

I think the LAME encoder set to VBR (variable bit rate) is at least as good as iTunes AAC, and nearly as good as RealAudio's data compression, though RA comes with bloat, adware and restrictions that keep me from getting much use of it.Yeah, the flash drives come in handy. I needed to use the Mac to download a massive piano sample the other day, the wirelessg kept buggering the file-turned out Wal-Mart had a 4 Gig USB drive fer like twenty bucks; SOLD! to the man in the black hat.
