I have never noticed this before but that Jimi Hendrix clip that Tom Posted. Jimi phrases his lyrics just like Bob Dylan. I guess I was always so messed up back then to notice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf-Mtd2A1DI

Your right Elser, if only! Some artists do not know when to call it a day. It is funny that your career does take off a bit here in Las Vegas when you die. Shoot, Elvis and Marilyn have been in numerous shows since their deaths! Come to think of it, Morrison was just here with the Doors, so either Vegas is very popular with tribute bands or I am in Hell with all these artists. That would explain the 120 degree heat.

Well Hendrix is definitely up there. But since my roots are in soul and R&B, I'd say Donny Hathaway would be on the top of that list. He only touched the surface the little while he was here and was just getting started before he passed away. Unbelievable voice and multi-instrumentalist. He and Stevie inspire and influence me greatly, musically and otherwise. You may have heard this song and if not, take a listen:A Song For YouBlessings.

You wouldn't believe how loud that Marshall was on that track! It was about ready to explode. --- I believe I used a delay, flanger, and a ProCo Rat. I also used a Cry Baby alot, but not on that solo. Also, I put in a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail as the bridge pickup. Still have the original pickup, though (locked in a vault. ).I still have my '63 Strat, but the Marshall only sounded good when turned up to "11" --- So I finally found the "holy grail" in amplification: A Soldano (Clapton uses 'em). Best amp I've ever owned!Ern

It's hard for me to get a handle on how it must feel (and sound ) to be plugged into one of those beauties. -Al
