Quote:Walter,Thinking about you today. I know Dan is someone you admire a hellava lot, so much so, that you used his name no less than 138 times when you first joined taxi. The one time you didn't... you wrote something along the lines of: I wont say who but it rhymes with Ogelberg. I'm not exactly sure of the word, but I do remember how it made me smile. All the best, RandyAnd, yeah, Silence. I'll miss Dan. All I could think of when my sister told me was a line from "American Pie" by Don McLean, "The day the music died". It's really sad that what today's kids are going to think of as music is Britney Spears and the like. I certainly hope there are some true singer/songwriters out there that break through and influence the future of tunes.

Ah! Talked to the nurse today, and she said Klonopin comes with a warning (I'm a guy. I don't read directions ) never to just stop. Guess what the side effects are if ya do. Most are mentioned above. She said it will still take me a few more days to recover. Geez!! Glad I got home when I did.

I've thought about you a lot lately. I was sorry to hear Dan Fogelberg had passed on too....what a great musician he was. I remember having a terrible crush on him when I was in college...I always liked those dark eyed, dark long haired types. We won't talk about how LONG ago that was...

Re: Just a request.
I am feeling much better now that we got my meds back on track.Plus, having refused to throw in the towel, I'm stretching and walking vigorously every morning to keep my ol' bod, or get it in, shape for fighting. Looks like it's gonna be a long haul . Have I told you guys about a fella I met on the boards at NORD Rare Disease Center. He turned me on to info about drugs called Vinblastin & Aredia. They are working pretty well for his wife. Then again, he lives in India. If U.S. pharmaceutical Co.'s can't make a gazillion bucks off of it, we'll never see it. Damned lobbyists. A profit over someone's life!!! Geez!! What a country. (Bring it on, CIA eavesdroppers ). But, We'll be asking the Oncologist about those in January. I hate to say it, 'cause I may eat my words. But, I'm about willing to drink 30W motor oil if it's got a chance of getting me back to normal.Hey! I'm volunteering to work at church in the coming days. I'm about to climb the walls sitting here, alone with my not so sunny thoughts. They get darker the more I'm alone. So, I figured I should do a little something to repay "The Man Upstairs" for all He's done for me. You know!! Wonderful folks like y'all.Incidentally, I got your gift too, Ann. Thank you very much.Whew!! I been rattlin' on a bit. I should shut my mouth, or at least go upstairs and put some supper in it.See y'all soon.

Kristine & I are so touched by the gifts that continue to come to help with the mounting medical bills. We are very grateful. She asked me this morning to make sure all of my friends here at Taxi that have been so kind know that all of that money is going toward my medical bills (as if we go out partying every weekend ). Kristine has done such a wonderful job with all of our bills and has MD Anderson nearly paid off, this round.Again, I'm a very blessed man.

Re: Just a request.
Got some feedback from someone at Nord Rare Disease Center with much knowledge & experience. He said it is HIGHLY likely that I was having withdrawals from the Clonazepam (Klonopin). I was also told I should throw my Ibuprofen in the trash as it is terrible for the kidneys. So, now I know.
