Got some news about a Dr. Haroche in France who is doing research on Erdheim-Chester. We've been asked to participate, if possible. But, the bloodwork he needs costs $500 to test. Then, he needs an actual blood sample shipped to him. I hear that's quite a few bills. So, barring some miracle, I'm going to have to sit this one out.Anyone who's interested, I can send his paper. You'll need a medical dictionary close by, though . But, it is short. One page.

Went in for another MRI and Abdominal CT scan this A.M. Just love that barium. At least they've got some flavor to it, now. I had the raspberry today. Not too bad. The radioactive dye is even more fun. I hate the way it makes my lungs feel, like I breathed in some Texas Pete.I go in on the 22nd for the results, and I expect good news .

Doc was actually the happiest I've ever seen him this visit. NO further growth for this MRI/CT scan . He was encouraged that I'm very determined to beat this junk, and that I'm getting lots of exercise. My BP was 102/66, Pulse was 60, weight is 171 (clothed) and O2 level was 97%. The lab results showed good kidney and liver function with 3.5 mil. units of Interferon.I didn't tell him about the herbal cleanses I've been using for pesticides (I worked with them extensively in the late 80's). The herbicides I worked with could possibly be a contributing factor for the ECD. Makes sense. But, he ain't the type of doc that would be real supportive of herbal treatments.I am feeling great, though. The Interferon doesn't have nearly the kick it once had, and I'm able to go 84-90 hours on a 72 hour Fentanyl patch. Wifey's happier, too .

The exercise helps lower pain too by reducing our anxiety about it, Walt. You're doing so great!! Love the weight, BP, pulse and O2 sats sound wonderful (heck, on a really crummy smog day, I have the same so you rock!).I don't worry much about herbal cleanses with my clients unless they're using them daily and then I'd be concerned about electrolyte imbalances if they're not getting properly hydrated. Happy to hear you're doing so great on Fentanyl (a testament to your will and new exercise program). VERY happy foi ya, sweepea.

Oh, joy, Oh, Boy!!Not only do I get the privelege of sticking myself with a needle tomorrow, but I also am getting a crown at the dentist to the tune of $990. Yeeha! Oh! Guess what! My wife worked her magic (actually the Man Upstairs with her help) and got us a place to stay in DC for the Inauguration. She has a cousin nearby, and she said "C'mon up". That'll be something new and cheaper than a hotel room. I ain't lookin' forward to the drive, though.

Yeah but you gonna be able to tell everyone in 100 years how cool it was to be there that day. Say hey to Dupont Circle fo me! And the Mall! I miss walkin' there and checkin' out the museums and galleries. It's gonna be boo cold though, sweepea. You make sho to dress all up, it's gonna be a long time standin' out there. Your wife is all that to make this all work out.
